So now let follow some of the steps for dos boot USB,dos boot USB image. You can also use USB boot software to make boot able USB for the windows or installation of any other operating system. Which will main the USB boot security as well. It won’t harm your USB. You need to have USB boot ISO of windows 7 or windows 8 or any other operating system. Some time USB device not recognized problems occur but you don’t worry about it just pull out the dos boot USB and then plug in again.

Instructions to make dos boot USB

1. Go to Start menu of your windows task bar and type “cmd”.


2. Now start command prompt you will see the window as shown bellow


3. Then just press “cd..” to leave the current folder.
   


4. Now press “cd..” again to go back to c: drive.
   


5. Now type “cd windows” to enter into the folder of windows.
   


6. Now Type “cd system32″ to enter into System32 folder located in windows folder of your windows or C drive.
   


7. Now when you are in System32 folder now type “diskpart” in the dos and another dos prompt will apear
   


8. Now make sure the same dos prompt of  ”diskpart” has appeared into your window. then type “list disk” to check how many mass storage disks are connected to your computer.
   


9. As i with respect to size i can see 7566 MB is my USB and other one with 232 GB is my windows hard drive. Now type “select disk 1″ or anyone if you have more than 2 disks attached.


10. now as disk one has been select to make dos boot usb. Windows bootable usb is now getting ready so now type “clean” to remove all data which is on your usb. cleaning usb is different then formating.
    


11. Now to boot the window from start up you have to create a tiny partition in your usb. Type “create partition primary”
    


12. Now you have to select the recently created tiny partition you just created. Type “select part 1″
    


13. Now You have to active the partition. Type “Active”
    


14. As you can see you have Active dos boot USB,Wait you are not finished yet. But you are done with diskpart dos cmd now type “exit”
    


15. Now again type “exit” to exit the cmd as well.
    


16. Now go back to “My computer”. You will see something like this and please don’t worry you USB boot security is still there, nothing happened to your USB.
    


17. Now Select format disk from its options. Select NTFS from File system and make sure quick format is checked. Click format
    


18. Now after this you can see USB is now dos boot USB.
    Just copy the windows files into it and restart you laptop or PC and select boot from USB device.
