Windows Phone to Adopt Android and iPhone’s Chases
So as new news are coming that Microsoft is now updating its Windows Phone software to get access to larger devices of up to 6 inches. In easy words they are going to turn phones softwares in to “phablet” (Phone-tablet) feature which is quite help full to reduces distractions while driving.
Well this is a great move by Microsoft which will give a bit advantage over iPhone and Android. But still all are well aware of the fact that it lags far behind in sales then the two ecosystems. Microsoft has released its 3rd update for Windows Phone 8 since it was released.
What is Drive Time?
Well it is a new feature introduced which helps you to keep your focus on driving while driving. It means This new Driving mode features silence all calls or text while you are driving which definitely will help you to keep focus on driving. But you know teenagers keep their mobiles almost near them so this feature won’t effect them but still if they are concentrating on driving rather than texting or calling then definitely they would lose the attention towards mobile and won’t see at it until they stop driving.

Phablet
The new update also has better resolution to accommodate larger phones. Currently Windows Phone software support resolution of 1280 x 768 which supports screen no larger than 5 inches.

Microsoft’s Windows Phone software launched in October 2010, holds a distant third place behind Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android.Microsoft’s Windows Phone software had worldwide market shares of just 3.7% in the second quarter. But now it is hitting 12% or market share in UK.
So Microsoft is launching a program to give app developers access to new softwares. So this would make a difference or may be this program can do something for Microsoft’s Windows Phone software popularity.
